Chattanooga Chase 8K road race and The Extra Mile for Siskin 1 Mile run
The 56th Running of the Chattanooga Chase Road Race presented by Fast Break Athletics in partnership with Siskin Children's Institute will take place on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Riverview Park in Chattanooga, TN. The 8K Race will start at 8:00 am and The Extra Mile for Siskin 1 Mile Race will start at 10:00 am.
The Chattanooga Chase is the oldest active competitive road race in the area. This race features both an 8k and 1-mile race through the scenic Riverview neighborhood. The 8k is known for its challenging hills and breathtaking scenery. The 1-mile race features a fairly flat, fast course through the neighborhood adjacent to Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
The Extra Mile for Siskin is an RRCA Championship race that will include 2 heats to ensure all racers have a safe and enjoyable experience. The first heat will begin at 10 a.m., which will be a family-friendly wave for participants running a maximum of 8 minutes per mile. The second wave will begin at 10:30 a.m., which welcomes participants running 8 minutes per mile or faster.
Starting at 10 a.m., the post-race block party sponsored by TuckerBuild will kick off on Hanover Street which will include live music and food and beverage from local restaurants. Participants of the race can bring their bibs over to the block party to get some delicious freebies from these amazing vendors! Riverview Park will feature family-friendly and inclusive activities thanks to our partners at Siskin Children's Institute.

Race Day, Monday, May 29:
6:30 AM - Registration & Packet Pickup opens
7:45 AM - Registration for the 8k race closes
8:00 AM - 8k race begins
9:00 AM - Top 25 8K M/F Announced (t-shirts/group photo)
9:30 AM - 8K Awards; 1-mile race registration closes
10:00 AM - 1-mile race begins, 1st wave
10:40 AM - 2nd wave, 1-mile race begins
11:15 AM - Award Ceremony, Top 25 1M M/F (t-shirts/group photo) & Door Prizes
PARKING
Parking will be available this year at Girls Preparatory School (205 Island Ave.) which is approximately 0.6 miles from Riverview Park via Young Avenue. Otherwise, parking is limited on-street throughout the North Shore, so carpooling is STRONGLY recommended.
